Classic Catering is a flexible, full-service catering and event company, serving the Pacific Northwest since 1970.

Known for great food, impeccable service and sincere attention to detail, Classic Catering is one of Seattle’s premier caterers. We take great pride in exceeding our guests’ expectations.

Ken Moriarty, president and owner apprenticed under Seattleite, and former President of the National Restaurant Association, Victor Rosellini. Ken managed his uncle Victor’s world-renowned restaurants and catering operations for over 15 years before forming Classic Catering in 1999 so to assure the third generation of these fine traditions, menus and service. Under Ken’s leadership, Classic Catering has continued to grow and expand its customer base which includes many of the best companies in Washington.

Mud McHugh, sales and customer relations, has spent most of her career in the hospitality business. Mud worked in marketing and sales for McHugh Restaurants before helping to launch Classic Catering in 1999. Mud is best known in the business for her exceptional customer service skills, which truly are a step above the rest.

David Laigo, the general manager, comes from a long line of family members who captured the hospitality business in Seattle. David is an expert in the art of food service and is focused on detail, execution and exceptional service that appears effortless. All your guests will notice is how much they enjoyed your event.

Tim Moriarty, Operations Manager, has worked in all aspects of the catering business and has a great passion for the hospitality business. He is committed to enhancing your experience by making each catered event run smoothly and efficiently. Tim’s focus is always on making sure your expectations are exceeded.

Melissa Sweet, sales & event management, has been providing amazing service for the past 15 years. As an event planning professional, she uses her passion, talents and creativity to orchestrate memorable events. She loves to make every catered function, from weddings to corporate events to private parties perfect! When Melissa isn’t helping her clients, she can be found searching for the best doughnut in Seattle.

James Green, executive chef, is a classically trained Northwest native. He works to combine local flavours with his personal flair. His philosophy is simple, he uses the best quality ingredients available to produce our delicious menus. James describes his style as modern Northwest, being respectful of culinary challenges while adding world flair to any occasion.
